MIVOR is a new fashion brand from the young founders Mehmet B. Demir and Marijan Govorkovic. The founders want to bring innovative ideas to the fashion world and in doing so initiate social changes.
MIVOR is a fashion StartUp founded in 2020.
The StartUp is dedicated to the fight against discrimination. Founder Marijan Govorkovic says that discrimination based on religion and ethnicity is now more in focus than ever before.
With MIVOR we want to tackle a problem as old as humanity. Recent events such as the demonstrations in the USA that started with discrimination against dark-skinned people or the seemingly minor discrimination in everyday life by both majorities and minorities show that we still have a long way to go.
But how exactly will MIVOR tackle this problem?
Through fashion based on elements of different religions and ethnicities and additional educational work MIVOR wants to reduce the problem of discrimination.
The founders think that one common reason for discrimination of others is fear, fear of the foreign. Often perpetrators do not know the opposite side and do not know much or nothing about the often foreign religion or ethnicity on which they discriminate against the opposite side. This is where MIVOR would like to intervene and help people from all over the world who, through their fashion, still use foreign religions and ethnicities to get to know each other.
A part of the revenue will also be used to support non-profit organizations. MIVOR will also attack the problem of discrimination in a more direct way. Through educational work in schools, universities and religious houses, for example, people should increasingly deal with the topic of discrimination more closely and get to know other religions and ethnic groups locally through information and direct exchange. In this way MIVOR wants to take away the unnecessary fear of the stranger and give them the hope for a UNITED future.
With this vision and mission the founders have set themselves a great goal. This goal alone is hardly realizable. Because of this MIVOR is happy about every helping hand regardless of gender, origin or religion. Help the StartUp as a brand representative who is available for educational work at events with MIVOR or support MIVOR by buying their fashion and spreading the vision.
